The white spruce (Picea glauca) is one of the most widely growing coniferous trees in North America, with a range all across the eastern United States and Canada, all the way to South Dakota where it is the state tree. It is one of the most popular Christmas tree choices too. It's very hardy and easy to grow White spruce will grow in acidic, Loamy, moist, sandy, well drained or clay soil‘s. It has some drought tolerance and is easily transplanted. It prefers full sun but will tolerate some shade. This tree will grow between 50 and 100 feet tall when mature and grows it in a medium fast rate. Getting anywhere from 12 to 24 inches taller each year.
