Bur Gambel Oak is a shrub like tree, with low branches. It forms a compact, bushy crown. It begins blooming late winter to early spring and the acorns ripen in early fall. This medium vigor growing tree will grow approximately 1.5-2.5’ per year. This mid sized oak is great for areas of your landscape where you are limited on space or wildlife food plots. Bur Gambel is the earliest producing Oak of highly preferred acorns over Red Oak or other white Oaks.Bur Gambel begins producing acorns at an early age, often when they are only 4-6′ tall.
